Having just clocked up 6000 miles on my vespa gts 300 touring ,it seems to have devoloped a jingling type noise of which I think is coming from the left hand side of the engine, but only when I'm moving ....any ideas !!
If the noise has suddenly come to fruition then it's time to look in the tranny case. But usually when someone complains of this noise it's just the rollers rattling and sometimes the backplate in the variator. All pretty normal for the GTS to make these noises. It gets worse as the rollers wear. Sometimes it's the clutch making some noise too, again not uncommon.
The new HPE engines have better sound insulation in the tranny area to stop folks worrying about tranny noises.
