Modern Vespa

Hi all, hoping I can get some help on this forum, I'm a little desperate. I have a Primavera 2017 for which I lost my blue key for. When I put in the master key to start it, it would go in but it does not start. It seems like my master key was not programmed? Is this possible? And if so, is there a fix to this? The dealer currently has it, but they haven't made much progress. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say take it to the dealer but seeing as how it is already there... The dealer is probably going to have to contact Piaggio.

Good luck, hopefully someone else here knows of a different way to deal with this. A little strange the dealer is flummoxed.

Are you sure the RFID chip is still inside? Open up the flap, there should be a 'thing' inside there. If not, it's fallen out at sometime.

Do you mean to check the little flap on the key?

Yes. There should be an RFID chip inside.

Thanks. I'll call de dealer and ask them if they've checked since they currently have my bike AND key.

Well, the dealer ultimately changed the whole system and gave me a new set of keys. Problem solved I guess. Word to the wise, check that your master key works when you first get your Vespa!
