Modern Vespa

It arrived this afternoon, my 2016 BV 350 with 324 miles on it. Some may recognize the photo, it was a fellow MVer's bike (a fantasic fellow by the way). I like the bike a lot so far but there are some things to address;
1. loose mirrors
2. windshield is really loud
3. pick up lag, a Malossi variator kit w/white spring may help

Otherwise I like it a lot, it's not as quick off the line as my GTS (w/Malossi kit and variator w/white spring). Why do I feel like I am cheating on my GTS...

Many (most?) new BV350 owners remove the windscreen, because of the noise. Congrats!

You could always cut the windshield down.

Oh yah. When I bought a new rear pulley, I put the new pulley on Scoot Life And I replaced the Commuter rear pulley with Scoot Life's 9,000 mile pulley. Scoot Life now has the stock set up on it. I just bought a new Malossi variator. I don't want to ride Scoot Life with the stock set up

A three year old scooter with 324 miles on it.

I simply don't know how you can own such a fun scooter without riding it all the time.

I rode farther than that yesterday.

Y'know, you can have more than one ride. Your well-doted-on GTS won't mind...much. (Melody's my sole motorized ride of any kind, so what do I know?)

Work, family, travel and other shit just gets in the way.

Regarding the slower move off, I wouldn't worry too much about that at the moment. The bike isn't even run in, the engine is very tight. Once you have a couple of thousand miles on the clock it's a completely different bike.

Malossi variator kit does liven it up some. What ever color springs comes with the kit is the one you want.

Assuming this is the stock windscreen, it is really too short. There are several previous discussion threads about replacing the stock screen with a taller screen or adding a flip lip.

Yes, a few people have removed the screen, but I think that presupposes you ride entirely in fairly warm weather. For the rest of us, a higher screen is the answer.
