So how was Endless Summer? Haven't heard from anyone or seen any pics...did everyone have fun, or did the rain wash it out?

Well, I guess the fact that I am the first reply, and it's Monday afternoon, I would say that most folks are probably still recovering from the weekend
Brian and I had a terrific time. We got to SB on Friday night, but because of earlier rain, the night ride was canceled. From what I hear, it can be quite "exhilarating" on dry roads, but with the wet pavement and newly washed dirt in the road, the voice of sanity spoke loud and clear. Saturday was a beautiful ride and the weather held up great. No complaints here! Santa Barbara is always amazing, but combining the beautiful roads and the sweet sounds of scooters is enough to put a smile on your face that lasts long after the rally is over Unfortunately, Brian's PX ran into a little technical trouble on the way up to the tavern on Sunday, so our ride was cut a bit short, but I'm sure the rest of the group had a great ride. The weather was fabulous on Sunday. Glad to see so many folks made it out. I'm just waiting for the link to come up on Scoot.net so I can upload some pics. It was great fun. Many thanks to Bobby and the Vesparados!! See you next year!! Mrs. Brian |

Endless summer
Hey Len,
Just a quick reply, Linda will post pics and tell you more. Endless Summer was a blast. Friday night's ride was a wash because it would probably be unsafe. But Saturdays ride and the rally with raffel was a blast. Saw freinds from down south but really enjoyed a ride out to Solvang and dinner at The Hitching post Saturday night with Bobo, Karen and new friend Terry. Sunday was another great ride to a mountain hideaway biker hangout. Cool twisties, great riding with the really cool vintage scoots. Wish you were there. Linda should post soon. |

Bobby informed me that he sacrificed some virgins for the weather they had on saturday. He said they enjoyed it . . .
The ride was beautiful, except for the rocks and gravel that flowed out onto the road from the rain they got the night before. Having run my own rally, and helped in several others, I would bet this year's Endless Summer must have been a real bitch to put on. I mean, come on, it never rains for endless summer! With all the last minute plan changes, it still went off very well. Oh, and the vintage riders did a VERY short ride full of break downs and parts falling off. They seemed to enjoy themselves though. It was a vintage rider that won the lammy. Mr. Mike Burns |

Yeah, the BBQ turned into a last minute sandwich/packaged hot dog thing. Talk about fast turn around. I almost showed up there w/o a scoot because I thought it would be raining. Glad I brought it though, because it was gorgeous out there. Ah, Southern California.
