Arai doesn't make 3 XL helmets anymore and I need a new one.
True measurement is 65-66 cm with an intermediate oval shape.

Looking for a high end helmet and can't find one that is not a dark color. Had an Arai Defiant. Even looked for a Close out or old stock on those.

Try this. Let me know if it works..
They might still make them, but the US distributor might not be bringing them in. If you can figure out the EU size, check on some of the European ebay sites and see if sellers are offering it in their equivalent.

Hi! Many of the Nolan helmets come in 3xl. Maybe not as high end as you're looking for.

don't know if you are near any place where the International Motorcycle Show happens as they have lots of vendors and you can try on many different helmets, I have gone a few times as it comes to the Chicago area yearly, another thought is to try Rev Zilla, they have a ton of stuff and are helpful with trying to figure out what you need and the options, I have ordered a lot from them and have found them very helpful when I have had to call for advice.

Hope this helps

Motorcycle show in Washington DC blows for some reason.

Found one, went back to NEXX, they fit well but didn't last a long time. We'll see how this one does. Went with white, as I have learned a black helmet in the summer is not so fun in city traffic.

I'm buying a new helmet for Ms Miguel. Cycle gear lets you order them on line, delivery is free and return what you don't want to free at one of their stores. They have a lot more online than they do at the stores.

Best

It's the same with running shoes. Sometimes production stops.

Eventually you will find something, just that you'll probably have to go to a real shop and try various ones.

I had a quick browse at the Arai Renegade V model, which is the same as Defiant X in US markets. No XXL mentioned either....

I'm "lucky" to be size M, but apparently un-lucky to also have more oval than round shape head: I thought to go for a Shoei helmet in search for a more quiet helmet than Arai, but after a test run (GT Air & Neotec) had to give up and admit that my head just doesn't fit with the helmet's basic shell shape: tight on the forehead, loose on the sides...

I won't do open face. I would not have a jaw and left side of my face if I had a open face on when I wrecked.

Wow, you're a XXXL. I can think of a few good jokes to use here but I'll leave that alone

Surprised a bit about Arai as they are one of the few brands that offer different shapes and seem to take for very seriously. I guess they weren't moving enough units in the big head crowd.

Have you looked at Shoei? They do XXXL.

Totally respect that. I just feel too claustrophobic in the full face helmet. all about choice.

Not at almost 4 lbs. Too heavy. I almost bought the Nexx X-Wild Street Carbon Helmet at 2.8 lbs but I don't want another black helmet.

I would imagine they also make lighter helmets, I have one and it doesn't seem heavy.

No venting to speak of. Would be hot as hell in the summer. I had one in my cart as a option, then watched the Revzilla review. Great old style helmet, but little to no venting.
