Bought a non-running 2003 ET2 50. Got spark, compression, but no fuel. Will research previous posts. Scooter was sitting for 1 1/2 years since running headlong into a raccoon. Minor damage and most of it fixed before purchase. The raccoon sustained little to no damage.

Need to clean the entire fuel system. The tank, the carb and a new fuel filter and gas lines if they are 17 years old. If ethanol fuel was left in it for 1.5 years it'll be a mess. Start by taking the carb off and see how it looks.

Welcome! You're just a couple hours north of me. Good luck on getting it back to life. Getting the carb cleaned using sonic jetting may be time or money well spent. Lots of little places for old gas to gum up. Post pics when you can!

Got my 2003 ET2 running. Had a block in the fuel line. I will go over everything else to make sure perfection is achieved. Now searching for a touch up paint and have found some good possibilities on site. Thanks to all for the welcomes. This is my first Vespa. I smell like gasoline...good aroma!

The cheapest by far touch-up paint I've seen is on ebay from UK. even with postage! The clear coat can come from an AP's box store here.
