i've heard a lot of good things about the Scorpion helmets. Most people rave about the anti-fog coating on the lens.

If you see an EXO1000; let me know how you like it. It's got a built-in sun visor.

I have been looking for the EXO1000 but I read that it will not be available until the first part of 2008.

I have a Scorpion 3/4 (EXO 200), and I love it. My wife has a black EXO-400 for when we ride 2-up, and she seems pleased, though she has no other helmet-wearing experience to compare it to.

I'll be buying a FF helmet soon for winter riding, and the EXO-400 and -700s are essentially the only 2 on my radar.

I like the brand that much!

Love my scorpion
I have been using a scorption for about 1 month. Pretty sure that I got the exo 400. My sales person at scuderia here in SF told me that many folks there are the shop use them and love them. He also mentioned that the price is low partly because they dont' go through distributors and just sell them on their own.

The flip down screen seals well (better than my last shoei) but doesn't fog up in all temperatures. It's also pretty quiet.

Not sure what you ride but make not all helmets reach the "hook" for storage on my gt250. The Scorporion's D-Ring is long enough to reach.

I'm a Scorpion Exo 400 owner.

Mine is exactly as pictured below.

I like it a lot...fits very well, quiet, good vents, easy to open/close face shield (also very easy to remove for cleaning), it's light, and the price is right. I wear prescription eyeglasses, and find it very comfortable to wear with glasses and I have no fogging issues.

EDIT: forgot to mention that the liner is removable to wash...nice feature

I paid around $150 for mine.

And, for what it's worth, it's both Snell and DOT approved.

I highly recommend it.

My wife and I just traded our Scorpion EXO-100s for EXO-700s. Quality in both is great. In choosing a full-face, we tried a bunch (Arai, HJC, AGV, Shark, Nolan, Scorpion) and came down to the SHOEI RF-1000 vs. the Scorpion EXO-700. The Scorpion is more comfortable on my noggin. Venting is supposed to be as good as the SHOEI. The SHOEI is supposed to be quieter. I'm not planning to do lots of high-speed riding on the GT, so noise isn't much of a concern. For us, it came down to comfort. The cheaper price was bonus.

check out the Helmet Harbor website for decent reviews:

I also use an EXO-400 and love it. It's very comfortable. However, $189 sounds high for this helmet. I also paid $129.

I have the EXO-100 (the 1/2 to 3/4 depending on who you talk to) Helmet, and it's a pretty snazzy helmet. The price was pretty good at $119, and has the spring loaded retractable half visors that retract into the helmet when not in use. They work great and have a pretty cool "snap out" effect with a flick of the thumb! Fits great, has pockets for earphone speakers in the earflaps for those who ride with com radios or MP3 players (which I personally don't suggest doing..). Great fit, low noise, and all the hardware is pretty darned sturdy. If you are going to go with a helmet that is less than full face, I would go with either this one or the ZOX scooter helmet.

The only thing that would make it better would be if it were a true 3/4 helmet with some better neck support. It would also be cool if they could of made the visor a bit bigger but understandable since there's limited real estate space under the helmet shell.

Edit:
But, after looking at the website (first time doing so) I just noticed that I paid $20 MORE than retail. Grrr.... well I am happy with it anyways.
