Hi, just yesterday I installed a new Mollosi 17.5 carb on my 70cc ET2.
There is clip retainer that holds down the auto-choke. The one off my Weber carb had to be altered with a Dremel to fit, does anyone know if there is a correct part I can order?
Also does Mollosi make a rubber intake manifold for there carbs and the Vespa?

hey dave. dont hold yr breath while waiting for responses about an et2.....

the above link didnt work for me, but yes malossi do make a bigger manifold to fit the 17.5mm carb. ive ordered mine from SIP.

what is the rest of your setup and are you going to re-jet your new carb or go with the jets it comes with?

cheers.

Yes I have noticed this is kind anti ET2 on this site.
I did get my new carb and it runs great, the only thing that I changed was the needle clips, the little c-clip is in the lowest position cause it was running lean in mid throttle, I didn't change the main jet, its seems to run good as is.
So I think I'm done with major upgrades.
Did you get the manifold? I'll check with SIP today, thanks.
I wish there was a only et2 forum.

Some day I will own a vintage scoot, but for now I'm having fun with my ET2, what can I say it looks brand new, and I traded a ukulele for it!

We have Malossi intake manifolds for ET2s in stock. Unfortuantely they are $62.95, but it's cheaper than you'd get one from SIP for. Their shipping is ridiculous.

Max-
Do you sell the c shaped retaining piece that holds down the auto choke for the mollossi 17.5 carbs? I had to cobble one together to get it to fit mine.

Sorry, we don't. I'm surprised it didn't come with the carb kit.

So is this for manifolds over 21mm? Because I was fitting a PHBG 19 today and converting from a weber to this carb was no problem. the manifold isn't restricted in any way. Or is it a shorter manifold that no longer uses the standard airbox?

On a side note, Anyone have an idea on jetting for a malossi cast iron kit with a 19mm phbg. No other changes other than the reeds included in the cylinder kit. I have a 72 in it now and it seems to be OK, but there's not much punch over half throttle. I have a fairly fat needle (not much taper) in as well. I'm thinking I may even go back to the weber and just rais the needle as high as it goes.

It is for 12-21mm carbs. It a nice replacement if your original is worn out. It's the number listed above.

Ah, that makes sense. The stock manifold does seem very thin. I could see myself tearing it after several changes.
