Hello,
I've bought a Tucano Urbano in second hand (45EUR/3000km ) . There's no instructions with and I'm not sure it's well installed.
Has somebody a scan of the instructions for me??
Thanks

alfamoi's posting is a necropost...
The question needing to answered to make the new question answerable is "Which Tucano Urbano product are we discussing?" TU is a brand like Vespa or Piaggio. they make hundreds of products. |

Thanks, http://www.tucanourbano.it/clienti/Istruzioni%20termoscud/richiesta_istruzioni_termoscud_eng.html Or I can email a PDF of the instructions for the R154 (GT/GTS/GTV) to you if you provide an email address. Send the email address in a PM. The PDF is too large to attach to a post. |

i agree with karen - i don't see any reason to jump all over this person for reviving an old post that is clearly relevant to his problem you all need to lay off the red wine on friday evenings
okay, back to the topic at hand. installation of the thermoscud. in may start by wrapping the broad velcro band around the top of the legshield, just below the handlebars. the scud should be lying over top of the seat and footwell. there will be a bunch of straps hanging down. they're all marked with colour-coded thread, which makes things a bit easier. there is one shortish (about 2') strap that goes around the front of the legshield, it sort of tucks in near the lower part of the legshield, where it starts to curve under, just above the front fender. the y-shaped strap is the most confusing to install. the two arms of the y are of equal length, the bottom part of the Y (which i'll call #3) i believe is either slightly longer or slightly shorter. most of the Y actually sits underneath the scooter. the far end of#3 has a hook on it, which attaches to the underbelly of the scooter, I think there are some convenient openings near the centerstand. keeping it as central as you can, just hook it around anything that looks secure, but not the centerstand itself. the two remaining arms of the Y extend forward, towards the front of the scooter, and join to two buckles on each side of the lower part of the scud, where it sits near the bottom of the legshield. confused? it'll all start to make sense at some point. looking at the scooter from the front on, you should be able to see most of the legshield - the scud shouldn't cover the indicators. the Y-shaped strap does most of the work of holding it in place - you may have to adjust it bit by bit to get it to center. the strap stretching across the front should be taut as well. the broad velcro strap just does the job of holding the top of the scud in place, it's under very little tension. i know there's a thread somewhere on here, with pictures, but i can't find it. maybe we'll have to do one for the wiki at some point. |

See. Bringing back an old thread can be beneficial. alfamoni probably got a notification that there were new posts on the thread and came back to answer calalay312's question.
Kudos to you, alfamoni. |
