I am just doing up a PX 150 Vespa. I am wondering what is the best way to attach more spots lights to the Vespa without investing in a carry rack. Can the leg shields bars be used. I am new to this and would love some guidance and help.

Never done this, but if you have a windscreen perhaps you could mount them on the windscreen supports. Otherwise a front carrier?

Google image search Lambretta Pathfinder lights. It might give you some ideas.

And make sure your electrics can handle the extra output needed...

I was wondering about the same thing, a headlight is in the 45 watt or higher range on high beam. Isn't that about half of what a stator puts out? I was looking at an LED headlight and it wasn't much better.

Let's start with this...are you wanting more spot lights so you can have the "mod" look, or are you wanting brighter lights for all of the night riding that you do? Because if you're after bright lights, PP brought up the most critical part about the whole thing. And legshield bars?...as in a "badge bar" or crash bar?

Us Americans have it pretty good with the US market 2005 Vespa PX150. The headlight is a very bright 55/60 watt H4 bulb that's triggered by a relay.

I installed one of the LED fog lights I linked further above on my Stella/LML. I wired it from the fork to the power input to the horn, it is always "on". I added it for extra light/visibility. I have had no problem with the extra power it draws. The main headlight still illuminates at idle, and achieves full brightness at speed.

WDC, does that ever result in a lack of electricity anywhere in the system? Do you know the secs of the stator in them? I just installed a faceted reflector type headlight with H4 35/35 halogen in it. While the reflector is good for aim, low beam is still dim and yellow.

Ginch, there was never any sort of lacking in the electrical department. At one point i had 4 of those PX150's (i'm down to 3 now), and they all have had excellent lighting (especially compared to the old P2 sealed beam light). Both the low and high beams are pretty good. It puts out way more light than the plastic H4 headlight assembly that Scooterworks sells to upgrade the old P's (and i had issues with the plastic housing melting some when i had a 45 watt H4 bulb in it). I don't know the exact specs for the stator. I'm all but 100% positive that the US market PX150 uses the same exact stator as the Euro PX's. Same connectors and everything. I swapped out the stock 55/60 headlight for a 21 watt LED (full wave DC conversions have been performed). I also installed LEDs in the tailight. By doing that, it gave me some extra watts that i could play with...such as grip heaters (20 low/40 watt high), and an additional 42 watt LED spot light. I can't all those items at once, but i can have any two of them on at the same time.

Not sure the front fender will support the weight of the two lights ??
