After watching GoPams Cannonball, butt breaking videos, I know my old a$$ is not made for THAT kind of adventure.

Just for fun, if you could plan this. What would you choose?

The Tortoise Crawl Rally!
3 days, 3 States, 300 miles (Max) and 3 MEALS A DAY!

Motto: Because NOT sitting on a rubber donut for the rest of your life is a GOOD idea.

Location:
I pick Galena, Illinois as the base location. Plenty of hotels, lots of places to stay. Touristy downtown with shops and restaurants.

States:
You got Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois and the Mississippi and Mayflies! Plenty of country roads.

Activities: Eating, Drinking, Riding...followed by more Eating and Drinking and a little riding.

Amenties: You still have feeling in your a$$ when it's over.

Anyone else onboard?

Make the date close to Wisconscoot and I could combine both rides in an area that is 1000 miles from where I live.

How about the weekend before Amerivespa in Minneapolis? Anyone who has the time could stop in Galena on their way up North. It's about 275 miles from Galena to Minneapolis by way of the Great River Road (Mississippi River).

I like your Wisconscoot idea just as well, Bill. There's a choice of June, or later whenever Dave does Wisconscoot.

Unfortunately I hate sitting in planes too, otherwise might be tempted to use this as an excuse to explore a bit.

Also, just emptied my piggy bank for another bike themed trip....which follows quite nicely the daily pattern you described

Uh-oh. Still procrastinating on Wisconscoot..and while no final location was announced, Galena was on the top of the short list. Yeah, we could combine them...... not a bad idea. There have been suggestions for alternative "slow" rides for Wisconscoot, which never materialized as in general people preferred to stick together.....but who knows.

Hey - it's fine. I was just thinking.... If you pick Galena for Wisconscoot, that's a great destination. One of my favorite weekend locations. Go for it!

Please don't combine them.

It is much better to do both.

Or all three when Amerivespa is thrown in.

I'm all for continuing the discussion. We could do an extended weekend, two events, or could easily do a Wisconscoot at a different location. No need to back off.

I might be able to pull this off. I would have to work out the logistics of it all. How do I get my GTS 250 so far up north?

I suggest three tiers in the registration process with varying fees:

Basic tier: you will be responsible for all your meals. Support vehicles will provide complimentary hot dogs and lemonade for those who are able to finish each 100 mile segment. Fee TBA.

Deluxe: with the appropriate registration fee a free visit to the spa of your choice or either a massage or a complete facial will also be provided. Being the inclusive bunch that we are, we will not deprive the deluxe registration holders any hot dogs or lemonade provided you finish the 100 segment. For those poor souls like me who might not reach the end everyday, only lemonade will be available. The hot dog lemonade combo will serve as a bona fide encouragement to reach the daily finish line. Fee TBA.

Super deluxe: all the aforementioned perks plus an exclusive opportunity to ride in a helicopter in case you decide to go off a cliff somewhere just to prove that you can. Fee TBA.

Ebeth is already organizing a Tortoise Crawl Rally to Vespa World days 2020.

He will be adhering to Belkwinith's 100 miles per day (160 kms per day) for about 720 miles.

This 100 miles per day will not be planned, as such, but has to account for his cousin not putting two-stroke oil in the premix and other such like occurrences.

It is a crime the way you look the police should interfere.

I would be happy to ride with y'all, I have to miss AV this year since I 'll still be in Greece, but July or August would be great. A September ride down here in the Bluegrass might be fun as well.

Late July or later in the summer/fall would work for me. Early July I'll be, um, busy.

I'm on the fence about this, all depends on my own conditioning and stamina.

That;s a long scooter ride from my place in NC.
