Can the electrical/charging system on the 2011 150LXVie handle a pair of heated grips? Or will that overwhelm the scoots ability to keep the battery charged? Mike the Aspie

Should be fine. I have them on the GTS 300, but I believe the current needed for it would be available in the 150 as well.
If you wish call up ScooterWest & they will confirm for you.

The stators on the older carb'd 150's only had about 4A of spare current capacity - so even low wattage heated grips were borderline and not recommended.

I expect the FI stators may have a greater reserve so may be fine with heated grips- you can always put the bike on a battery tender overnight to be sure the battery is happy.

A big second on the battery tender.

However it would suck to go on a long trip with those grips on, only to make a stop and not be able to get the scoot started again.

Mine is fuel injected. One of the reasons I bought it.

LXV? I bought mine because it was pretty and had real metal housed switch gear not plasticy ones.
Oh and one can mount stuff on the real handlebars.

OH I like many other things about the LXV over the standard LX. From the color to the nice leather seat. Mine has a nice windscreen, rear rack and Prima roll bag added to it. If I hang on it it, I want to add front rack, the chrome guards around the rear cowls and heated grips if her changing system can keep up with them. I got busy and didn't get a chance to call that place, will try to get that done tomorrow. Mike
