Also as a starter of a new groop myself, I recommend setting up a yahoo site. One thing that has worked well for me (depending on who you ask LOL) is to create contact cards. These you can use to place on the seat of EVERY SCOOTER YOU SEE. Or in my case, to run back to every scooter that stops behind you at a red light.

They work, we have established one night a week that we meet, it started out just 3 of us and now we are 4+ on a regular basis.

if you want a forum like this you can get a free one at www.informe.com. that's what our club uses. we had a few technical issues with them a few months ago, but everything is hunky-dory now.

Thanks for the reply guys - I thought I was the only one who had gone "stalker" by chasing down bikes and putting notes on them LOL!! Columbia doesn't have many high end scooters, so I'm wondering how to "tactfully" weed out the DUI's if I start getting them. Thoughts? Comments?

Thanks Lynn. We'll all have to ride to Greenville one day and meet at a pub.

As David H points out the DUI folks are court appointed scooterists and will probably not be interested in a formal ride. You could make your group open to <50 cc scoots and it would probably do the same thing.

As soon as I can talk my wife into moving there we'll join you. I love the area.

Yeah - Crackhead and I will ride with you. Let's find a good half-way point if Greenville is too far. Our ET4 friends Buddy and Michelle are down that way too.

Are you talking about Columbia or Asheville? Either way it sounds good. Someone will accomodate you. Just be sure to let us know when you do.

I think G-ville is doable. I'll discuss it at the meeting tonight and see what the group thinks. I started a poll on our meetup site - feel try to try this little "exercise" and get back to us!

Raincheck is very doable. Seems like David and I are getting into a groove of riding every 2 weeks or so. We're going to Richmond for the MV workshop in 3 weeks. Are you going?

Great - let's do it. I'll have to try your signal tripping trick. I have one that I hit at 5:30 am when no one is around. That light never changes.

Aw man! I'd love to go to the workshop but not sure I can get off of work to do it. I'm free Sat and Sun but that doesn't allow for travel time. If I can pull a few strings maybe I can get there!! Are you guys riding your bikes up there or what??

We are trailering them up there behind Seth's Subaru. I think we are leaving to go up on Thursday. Pull those strings!! It'll be a fun weekend and you won't feel like you're living in scooter wasteland (like we do most of the time too).

I spoke with the RVA group and they a cool with us meeting up and riding with them Thrusday evening. They get together around 7 ??. that will give you guys some sort of time frame.

I loved your jack trials pic on scooter tag. They're all airborne! I'll have to post a pic of our 14 year old jack - Cheedo. She's wobbly, but still fast once she gets her balance and can see the floor.

SUCCESS ! I got Friday and Monday off. Now all I need is a trailer and a vehicle with a hitch and I'll be ready to go. Do you guys have a lead on a good hotel near the site?
