Modern Vespa

Hello everybody. New guy here, proud owner of a great MP3 300ie. I absolutely love the machine, it's perfect for me in every way, especially since I don't have a motorcycle license.

I prefer having some audio while riding, playing my playlist and such and I was wondering if you guys have any setup on your MP3's for such thing. So far I found that attaching a mini bluetooth speaker really does the job. I bought a Bose Soundlink and it works pretty good with speeds up to 80km/h. Pretty sure if I attach another one to the left mirror and they connect I will be able to listen to my tracks even at highway cruising speeds.

Any other ideas ?

IMHO, if you want to hear the music, you should use helmet audio. If you want others to hear your music, you may use portable BT speakers on your handlebar.

The benefits of helmet systems are better audio quality and also possibility to hear GPS tips. Me personally prefers cheap chinese TCOM-OS BT communicator which also might act as 2-way intercom with fellow rider near.

I am personally not a Fan of Speakers...
I admit I tried it, but I quickly observed the Risks.
My LeoVince Nero, with DB Killers removed, makes it impossible to here anyway.

I do have a Bluetooth Helmet which works great for Phone Calls, and Bike to Bike Communication, even with my Loud Exhaust.

But anything distracting could result in someone getting hurt.
You should investigate a Motorcycle Riding Course, and learn more.

It really depends. I use an in helmet system but keep the volume that I can hear the music but also hear what is going on around me. Now some music is bad to listen to since it can pump you up and get you riding a little more aggressively that you should be.

You can always consider the Piaggio Sound System. Not my kind of thing, nor cheap but it is sound. Personally, I use the Cardo communicator system customized for my Schuberth C3 Pro helmet.

As has been stated in other threads, there are some localities where there are legal issues with listening to music on in-helmet speakers. For example, in my home state...

I happened to be in Target Store (Understanding OP is outside of the US) this weekend in the Electronics Department.

They have a pair of Sunglasses by Bose on display that looked interesting.
The left and right side has a slot where sounds comes out next to your ear, and it sounds very good. Checking Amazon, they have other companies that make similar that are way cheaper.

This may be a solution to wear inside your helmet. It's very loud, and Bluetooth, and allows you to make phone calls as well.

Along the same lines, there's bone conduction headphones, too. In places where it might be an issue, I suspect they'd fall into a gray area legally, since they're not actually on or in your ears...

I believe the best known brand is AfterShokz, but you can find Chinese knock-offs on eBay (shocking!) for about $20. And I can't confirm (nudge nudge wink wink) that you can slide ones sold as "R9 Bone Conduction" upside down and backwards into your helmet behind your ears after putting it on or that they're plenty loud enough to hear at highway speeds...
