Modern Vespa

This took much longer than anticipated but the results are very good. Attached are pictures of:

a. a black " Beefy T" shirt with the MP3 logo on the chest and the Piaggio logo on the sleeve (looks washed out in photo but is a nice deep black)

b. a black "Port Authority" polo shirt with the MP3 logo on the chest and the Piaggio logo on the sleeve.

Both of these items are of very good quality. You may order these shirts directly from the embroiderer. While both of these shirts come in other colors, you will need to deal directly with the embroiderer on getting other color samples.

They are nice!

But the only time I'll wear one is when Piaggio pays me to advertise for them. I feel that everytime you wear some company's logo on a shirt or hat or wherever, you are giving them free advertising as a walking/travelling billboard. That's why they love to give all those freebies.

It may be ego boosting for an individual in terms of bragging rights but on the other hand it is free name recognition (aka advertising) for a company. Imagine that!

I know this because my wife works in the advertising industry.

Excellent design! 8) Does the polo have a nice long tail? My problem with polos is my low waist - shirts always seem too short. I've never had a Port Authority polo - do they have decent length? I may be in for one!

Hate to rain on anyone's parade ... but as an embroiderer/screen printer in the business as well, do we have the copyright permission to reproduce the logo and sell to interested souls? I've been in the business for over 20 years, and most companies like a "cut" of the profits or an upfront $$ amount in order to have the rights to use their logos.

Not sure how Piaggio is on the use of their name ...

At this point they don't seem to have much interest in such things but if it becomes a popular seller they could I guess. Sure there are laws and regs covering such things.

Well, given that many folks have found it impossible to get support from Piaggio USA, the risk of them getting off their ass to take action over free advertising sounds a little remote to me. If you want to take that risk and are not getting good vibes from the company 88 mentioned, there are many other companies out there that do this. One I have used repeatedly and have been very happy with is [url]www.spreadshirt.com[/url] You can design your own t-shirt online and I believe you can then share it with the rest of the world to buy. I am sure some of the more artsy folks here can quickly replicate the design created by 88.

I didn't get one either and I PM before your post showed up..but the world is free..UFO can give it to whomever he wants.

For anyone else thinking $34 is high, an option may be to send them a shirt from your own closet, leaving nothing but the embroidering cost. I do this with the businesses I own and typically reduces the cost 70%.
