... can't comment, there seems to be a fine political line ...
But if you want to save yourself it doesn't matter by whom and for whom you do the things that will make you feel safer, you have a brain and you can choose how to use it; the evidence speaks for itself.

My sister survived it and is back to work today. No hospitalization.

It did a google teams meeting with a woman I used to work with in Florida (I still do contract work for my former employer) and was surprised that she was in her bed sick with covid but still working. She is really smart but believes that the virus is nothing more than a cold but 5G is making it worse.

Not sure the first half of that sentence jives with the second half

Well wife just told me she decided she was going to tell her daughter that if her husband and 7 year old son have not been given at least the first shot in the next couple weeks they will not be allowed to come to our house for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Also said she was going to tell them that we will not be mailing Christmas presents.

Daughter has been vaccinated as required by her job as a daycare teacher. I think only two people in son-in-laws immediate family have been vaccinated. His dad at the request of his doctor as he, father, has been diagnosed with prostrate cancer and his sister as she apparently got the only brains in the family!

I have the Green Pass with the validation of the three Pfizer doses, I can go wherever I want (with the mask of course). And I also got the flu shot ... Warning, I might ring the doorbell of some of you.

Well you better have a bottle of some good wine under your arm or I won't answer the ring! For sanitizing purposes only We did install new door bell cameras so I can see you without opening the door!

Another sign that this virus is endemic and will persist in animal reservoirs.
Quote:
THURSDAY, Nov. 4, 2021 (HealthDay News) -- The discovery that up to 80% of white-tailed deer in Iowa may be infected with COVID-19 has scientists worried that the animals could become a reservoir for variants that could come back to haunt humans."
Quote:
If the virus were to become widespread in deer and other wild animals, there's a chance it could eventually morph into a new variant that could be passed back to people and is resistant to existing vaccines, experts warned.

We are hovering around 350 or so a day. Not bad for almost 15 million people. We are seeing a small uptick and the consensus seems to be we need to start vaccinating children. Booster shots are already being rolled out

Wonder how son-in-law, big time deer hunter and rabid anti-vaxer, would react to this news? He's in New York not Iowa but if it made the jump out there I would be surprised if that was the only place. Won't let his son get the vax but would probably be in favor of getting the deer vaccinate!

But then again he would probably say it is a lie being spread by the anti hunting people to scare away the hunters! Just one more Deep State Lie!

Tell him when they start vaccinating the deer he'll be able to track them with a compass.

Ilaria Capua: "Focusing strongly on the call, coexistence with the virus will last years"
The virologist in the press: "Even a single unvaccinated person with high concentrations of virus in the body could be enough to create an outbreak".

"Even a single unvaccinated person with high concentrations of the virus in the body could be enough to create an outbreak", warns virologist Ilaria Capua, director of the One Health center of excellence at the University of Florida, in an interview with La Stampa. because "viruses make viruses, humans make pandemics".
According to Capua, "Sars-Cov-2 reminded us that we are vulnerable, just as we were centuries ago, and that the unique, essential and indispensable good that we absolutely cannot do without as an evolved society is health. Which is only one: that of the system in which all of us - human beings, animals, plants - are immersed. I am optimistic about how things are moving in Italy, which has one of the highest national vaccination rates ever: to understand the difference, just look at what is happening in Northern Europe due to the cold and the low number of immunized people. as well as hospitalization levels, where 90% are people without vaccines. The next wave will be that of the unvaccinated who will end up in hospital and who unfortunately will be able to make ill - even if less seriously - even those who are immunized ".
In the opinion of the scientist, therefore, "Italians should consider themselves lucky to be able to count on the third dose, millions of people in the world would like to get vaccinated but do not have access even to the first while we are paralyzed in the face of senseless fears. I have already taken the third dose and I think that the administration to the frail should be speeded up and then made available to all those who want to do it, regardless of age and profession. Maintaining high levels of immunity in the population is essential to avoid another lockdown ".
But how long will we still have to deal with Covid? When asked, Capua replies as follows: "Certainly for many years to come. We are currently in the wake of the pandemic, the moment that follows the initial amazement and sets the stage for the push. These are phases of varying lengths that are closely linked and interdependent: three phases of an epochal event that go towards rebirth, in search of that change that will allow us to restart, but with different awareness. Vaccines have proven to work, and this is great news. We shouldn't be afraid of the fact that they could become annuals, just like the anti-flu ones. It will be necessary to manage what is about to be an endemic disease ", concludes the virologist.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilaria_Capua

Get vaccinated, at the moment there is nothing else to do ...
Do not do it only for yourself but also for others, there is no better thing to do even if it were a personal sacrifice and above all knowing that it will also improve the lives of others.

Interesting article this morning.

"The brief version: The gap in Covid's death toll between red and blue America has grown faster over the past month than at any previous point.

In October, 25 out of every 100,000 residents of heavily Trump counties died from Covid, more than three times higher than the rate in heavily Biden counties (7.8 per 100,000). October was the fifth consecutive month that the percentage gap between the death rates in Trump counties and Biden counties widened."

If people elsewhere wonder why the UK gets so many reported cases - it's because lots and lots and lots of tests are done. I just walked into the local pharmacy and was given 14 lateral flow antigen self-tests. My friends here in the UK say they test regularly, often once a day.

They stopped free testing here last month. The result: still no uptake in first-time vaccinations, but instead record case numbers.

They stopped free testing here last month. The result: still no uptake in first-time vaccinations, but instead record case numbers.
Yeah, checking rates here and in Europe and looked like Germany was up like 80+%

Debate on vaccination mandates of course still raging here, not surprisingly. More surprised to see a protest in New Zealand, apparently complete with, er, flags depicting a certain American that they're welcome to keep...

I have a friend who should have died.

She was in the hospital getting tests when she had an aneurysm in the back of her head.

The neurologist performed incredibly detailed work, feeding a wire through the artery, then using it somehow to block the leak.

The doctor's name was Dr. Miracle.

Met up with a co-worker today who I haven't seen since the pandemic set in and she lost 8 (EIGHT) family members this last year to it. Just terrible. Let's just say she's squarely in the "pro-vaccine" camp. I feel so bad for her

Lol.

"Doctors at these centres are reportedly paid to inject anti-vaxxers with water, However, some doctors administered the real vaccine to anti-vaxxers over fears of getting caught by authorities."

BBC News this morning covered the worsening Covid situation in Saxony, Germany.
The hospital they visited has an ICU full of Covid patients - 18 of them.
Only 4 of those Covid patients were vaccinated.

The vaccine does not make you immune - just far less likely to die.

Same as wearing protective equipment while riding scooter/motorcycle. Just wish the government would give out that stuff for free and update it as needed!
