Since it was nearly 60'F here today, I cleaned up and did some maintance on both of our scooters. The GT200 needed a new fuel line from the pump to the carb. The PO has used clear silicone tube and it was rock hard from the effects of gas/ethanol. So new proper fuel line was installed, air filter checked. I found the bike has the evap line disconnected from the carb, for the fun of it, I hooked it back up and anytime you tried to give it throttle, she just stalls, so back unhooked, but I need to get a short piece of hose hooked up with some kind of foam on the end so that little port isnt sucking dirty air into the carb/engine. I also idled her down some, it was to high and the clutch was grabbing a bit at stop lights. After a few short trips around the neighborhood and to the auto parts store for proper tail light bulbs(the PO's LED's didnt focus right in the reflectors). I moved onto my wife's big Piaggio X9 maxi. I got the dirty/corroded bulb connections on the rear turn signal fixed, then took it for a few rides around the neighorhood. It lacks plates so thats as far as I took it. We should have them both road legal in a couple weeks. Waiting on my title to come in the mail for the GT200 and we have to get new insurance as Riders no longer does policies in Indiana for some reason. We were up for renewal, so we have to find a new company. Thru our homeowners/auto its over double what we paid thru Riders. So, we are still insurance shopping for a better rate. Here is a good pic of her X9, something I havent been able to get till now. Mike the Aspie
