Hello! I just bought a Rally 180 with a P200E engine, and I would really love some advice.

The setup i am going for is:

Cyl: Malossi 210
Link: https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/racing+cylinder+malossi+210+cc+_31163460

Exhaust: Sip Road 3.0
Link: https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/racing+exhaust+sip+road+30+_24165900

Fuel sip fast flow 2.0

Standard crank

standard ignition, maybe get SIPs variable ignition at a later point.

Carburettor: It is here that I am uncertain on what i will use. I have the standard SI24 carburettor, which can be modified. I then see two different options:

1: Modifying the original carburettor with:
Float Chamber Cover DELL'ORTO
Link: https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/float+chamber+cover+dellorto_128295t7

Drilling the hole up to 2mm and adjusting jets.

(In this option, will it be a waste to also use a float chamber spacer? Link: https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/spacer+float+chamber+serie_92270000)

2: Buying a 30mm Phbh carburettor kit from SIP
Link: https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/carburettor+kit+malossi+phbh_40110000

So what would you guys recommend? I have done the modification on the SI on a previous vespa, but thought that the Phbh will be time saving as well as being more suited if i were to adjust the port casings/change crank later on.

would appreciate any tips from more seasoned scooterists. really want to do this as right as possible. I want a Vespa that is reliable AND fast

Apologize if this was a messy post

Best regards Lorentz

Was also looking at spark plugs. another user here said that this was a really nice plug which gave an improvement in performance:
Spark Plug MALOSSI/DENSO IW27

Link: https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/spark+plug+malossidenso+iw27+_m6314455l0

But I see here that this is long threaded. will this work with a malossi 210, and will it be worth the extra cash?

If you don't get that intake timing up by opening the rotary pad and getting a cut crank you won't need a 30mm carb. But you'll be leaving a lot on the table...

Quite pricey for one plug. If you want Iridium plug, NGK makes their version at 1/4 the price. I use them and I like them. They make a short thread version also.

Long thread

Short thread

Hope this helps.
