Hi All!

First post and of course it's about my first crash.

It was low speed and I'm good and all but I wanted your opinion on the damage. Attached is the photo where the most annoying damage is. In your opinion is it worth fixing the crack or would anybody have a ball park figure on cost? I can live with the scratches but the crack just irritates me unless it is an expensive part to replace then I can live with it.

Contact your dealer. The plastic parts can be orders in the original color. The only way to know the cost is to inquire. I have ordered quite a few of them over the years.

Goes by how you want to fix it. You can take the plastic off the scooter and use ABS plastic pipe cement to make a patch on the back side of it.

I also vote for pulling off the glove box and fixing it from behind. Are you sure the legshield is not bent. You might want to look into an ABATE Rider safety course. What you learn there might just save your life.

Is the crack from the frame deforming? Or did something hit the plastic. Does it ride normally?

Drill a small hole at the end of the crack. It will relieve the concentration of stress and help keep the crack from growing, whether you decide to replace or repair.

Yes, good advice. This can happen easy expessally in high stress areas and in the cold. A+

The leg trim seems to be an easy fix but the glove box is going to be expensive plus painting it.

I am so sorry that happened to you. Rest assure you're not the only one.
