Damn that's purdy! Nice stable too. So what's the story on the GL?
Apparently it was rebuilt and painted by a local shop and then given away as a prize at an even the shop was having. The shop is more known for its Modern Vespas, Piaggios, and Kymcos but they do also do custom order vintage rebuilds. I guess the guy that won it basically was a TNG only rider and let it sit in his garage for a little over a year. Then the gentleman I bought it from had just purcahsed it in July of this year from the guy who won it, had it tuned up, put maybe 150 miles on it and then had to sell it because he already has a large stable and his wife wants him to get down to just one scoot.
So basically he sold it me at a very good price considering its maybe been driven 200 miles since it was rebuilt from the ground up two years ago. Runs like a champ, starts first kick even when cold, and has plenty of pep for what I believe to be all stock parts. Ive yet to have time to dig around the motor and see if its really a rebuilt GL motor or just a rebuilt PX 150 like so many shops do. But i road it to work this morning and it ran beautifully(well once I put gas in it).
