I need some help. The catch on my Airco (NZ) assembled 180SS was clearly wrong as the catch was riveted on and was pointing towards the front of the scooter. Anyone here have a photo of what the catch should look like?

NZ magic
smacks of a Matt Brookes special adaptation so it will fit on smallie which has a shorter frame bringing the mushroom bolt forward a bit

Im sure I saw that seat adaptation in NZ on a green small frame with a Px 2 hundi /malooseri 210 and the first of the Hot rod al vortex carb, shoe horned into a heavily cut frame..known as the "Leaf Blower" due to the insane revs

where did the seat come from?

..and
..and the Vortex did about 25kms to the piston cos the air screw would always vibrate out.

It does smack of a Matt solution but it came on the scooter when I got it. The scooter spent its life in the south before Matt and Jess moved down there. Southern Scoot bought it in a job lot from Central Otago and I bought it off him.
I no longer have an Airco seat on my 150 Super, I could look at one when I get a chance in Wellington, but a photo of how it should be from any of us Kiwis or the Aussies with NZ scooters would certainly help.

Hey mate, youve probably already done, but have you posted to the nz vespa club FB? Ive been on a couple of short rides in Auckland and definitely remember at least one unmolested ss that may have still had the airco seat.

Love those stickers btw and seat looks good.

Thanks. I haven't yet, maybe one of the SS crowd will turn up next Sunday and I can get a look.
