Remember Nick & Nora Charles and Asta?? Now those were detectives, especially Asta.
Besides weenies and Krap Dinner are the best. |

not one MV Weenie has mentioned my fellow aerodynamic head, Kojak. Who loves ya', Baby?
We should start an intramural softball legue: the ModernVespa Weenies vs. The StellaSpeed A--holes. Then we'll have both sides covered, so to speak. |

Special Agent Dale Cooper - Twin Peaks. Does the FBI count??
Such a great mix of intelligence, toughness and good looks, and so wonderfilly unhinged at the same time. I'm sure he even wore chaps in one episode for undoubtedly no reason at all... |

I like Jonathan Creek, though he wasn't so much a detective as hippy in a duffel coat who lived in a windmill. I doubt the series made across to the States. The fact that his partner was aggressive overweight female journalist was also a plus. I don't like TV that's really good looking, it makes me feel inadequate.
I think I am a weeny, though I've got to say its not much of an insult - it sounds cute to me. |

Can't ignore Crockett and Tubbs from Miami Vice. Can't vouch for their detective skills, but they had style (at least back then). And the music was better.
... and now I've got that damn theme song running through my head! Aarrgh! |

Weenie... ok, probably.
Detectives, oh, what a bunch to pick from! Jim Rockford is just a personal role model Everyone in school rolled over a car hood like Joe Mannix (I taught my son to do the same) You've got to give props to Joe Friday, talk about cool and collected But guys, would you include Maxwell Smart in this category? Now that's class! |

I am huge Avengers fan, and went to the school where they filmed all those mad country house styled episodes!
I love Mrs Peel, but not in a Jonathan Creek way. |

Columbo is SOOOOOOO #1, with Angela Lansbury a far-distant second.
I love that scene in Faraway, so Close where he's trying to break into the german missle silo and the guards think they're watching Columbo on the security monitor. And The In-Laws is one of the greatest movies ever. Serpentine, Shelly, SERPENTINE! Bb. |

Stella Speed gives me that edge that is sometimes missing here but waaay out of control on the bbs. It's nice middle ground. + there is some really good technical information on there about 2-strokes. I rely on them for doing my own maintainance. From this forum I get more of a social outlet. Everyone needs to click the link on Bryce's profile and do what Chopper Reid says! |

Actually, I'm just here for the cupcake. I like Stella Speed because it's full of 30-something burn-outs who lusted after Italian steel during the bad-old days of the 80s and 90s... maybe that's just me, though. Seriously though, I've dug up better technical info there than that other board, and the ribbing that takes place is all in good fun. As far as TV detectives go, there is only one, Frank Pembleton from Homicide: Life on the Street. |

I come here basically to try and make dumb jokes and write down EVERY SINGLE THING that Greasy says about maintenance on the LX150s. Joined Stellaspeed cause I thought I was getting a Stella. Someday I'm sure I will so I still lurk there and try to absorb as much info about the two-strokes as I can. Not so much on the tuning end but the maintenance board over there is a wealth of info. Oh and Magnum, hands down! |
