I am on the StellSpeed/MV crew too....

I have contemplated selling the Stella that has been busted in my garage for the last uear or so...even most recently as 2 days ago....I can't do it...I love her.

If I was going the modern/retro route, the Stellas look better than the Bajajs, for sure.

I'd probably be more happy with a real vintage one, though, for karma reasons.

Stella Speed is a bit of a rougher crowd, I'll give you that. But those guys generally know how to split their own cases and do all their own work. There is good advice about highly technical content like porting work and squish tolerances. THAT'S why they scoff at you guys- because you don't do the work on your own bikes.

But to be fair, I think it is more a question of what each group enjoys about scooters: StellaSpeeders like getting their hands dirty and feeling a sense of accomplishment from maintaining their own vintage bikes (yes, vintage Vespas too) and making their bikes go faster. MV folks seem to have the local shop do their maintainence and would rather just ride than wrench.

To each his own.

They have some of the best one-liners in film history. Totally un-PC by todays standards.

Obviously a lot of really great detectives in our pop-culture. Anyone remember Sledge Hammer? I loved that show.

I'm so blown away with the number of detectives and their ilk. I forgot about most of them. Father Dowling? Wow. Completely forgot him.
