Kyra Sedgwick as "The Closer" AKA Brenda Johnson. Maybe not a detective per say, but great show.
Besides I have a "thing" for Kyra Sedgwick. ⚠️ Last edited by oldswimcoach on UTC; edited 1 time

George Peppard as BANACEK. He was SO sexy.
He is also tied to Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany's. And we all know Audrey Hepburn is tied to US, Vespa Riders, from ROMAN HOLIDAY. Janine |

I liked the pilot for that show. When asked by the young hottie why he liked old things, he replied something to the effect that, in the whole history of the human race there are more old things than new. The probability of finding quality is much greater with old things. The best Magnum episode begins with two thieves looking through a window and noticing a rerun of Rockford Files playing on the TV. It is one of the 2 episodes featuring Tom Selleck http://imdb.com/title/tt0688097/ as Lance White, Private Eye. |

I love the post of the guy asking if his bike would start when he came back from a vacation that he had not gone on yet.

If I was going the modern/retro route, the Stellas look better than the Bajajs, for sure.
I'd probably be more happy with a real vintage one, though, for karma reasons. |

Stella Speed is a bit of a rougher crowd, I'll give you that. But those guys generally know how to split their own cases and do all their own work. There is good advice about highly technical content like porting work and squish tolerances. THAT'S why they scoff at you guys- because you don't do the work on your own bikes. But to be fair, I think it is more a question of what each group enjoys about scooters: StellaSpeeders like getting their hands dirty and feeling a sense of accomplishment from maintaining their own vintage bikes (yes, vintage Vespas too) and making their bikes go faster. MV folks seem to have the local shop do their maintainence and would rather just ride than wrench. To each his own. |

I told him that was BS and that we are a serious forum with serious problems and serious solutions. Which got me to thinking. Who is your favorite TV detective? I have to go with Peter Falk, Columbo. He never got the girl but he was so damn clever. |

Obviously a lot of really great detectives in our pop-culture. Anyone remember Sledge Hammer? I loved that show.
And how about Speed Racer? - He was kind of a detective, wasn't he? |

I'm so blown away with the number of detectives and their ilk. I forgot about most of them. Father Dowling? Wow. Completely forgot him.
