Hi,

Long time lurker.

Iím doing the cannon ball run in July. Any one else?

Been scoring parts from robot, pm tuning and Jorge. Nick over at bat city has really helped too. I got the bike at AF1 Racing here in Austin. Got this HPE all geeked out with nav and comms. I need to find some better gear to wear, but then I might be set. Iíll put another exhaust in it and replace the pulsar ring. Should be able to move at a pretty good clip. Itís got city grips so the tires can do 6k miles.

I figure I need to get off the ruckus boards (for a bit) and get over here.

I was gonna ride my 2005 PX but Iíd get a poor handicap since it runs Ď78 technology (mostly) but itís a 2005 model year. Plus the HPE is bad ass.

Anyway. Hello! Any tips for endurance rides would be appreciated!

Pinny.

And Iím just learning how to work this board so if I posted in the wrong place just move this post please... 😀😀

Also is there a ďrecentĒ button? Sorry Iím hitting the easy button on you by asking instead of hunting for it.

I posted some thought and maybe a tip or two over on the Battle Scooters section on ADV rider.

Best tip I can give you , take some long johns and a good rain suit.

The section from Ontario Cd. through Mi. can have real different weather patterns. It can be very cold with rain ,or can be real hot and humid . Even at that time of the year it's a crap shoot.

Ride safe and have fun !!

Thank you! As a lurker Iím not allowed to rate posts but if I could Iíd give you a thumbs up.

The upper peninsula and getting over to Mackinac is gonna be so much fun. Staying dry is my next issue to sort out.

If you have not already registered for the CBR, you should probably get on the list.
If I'm not mistaken the number of riders is limited and there is already a stand by list.

I will also be riding the Cannonball. There are a few others from this board that will be doing this event.

The main thing is prepping the bike, getting good gear, and plan your navigation carefully.

Hey Carl. Is your butt prepared for the ride?

Legit concern Ralph

I did an eight day ride this past fall as a proxy endurance test. Each day was between 7-9 hours of seat time and I felt ok (next to last day was the toughest), although I was at a slower pace than Cannonball.

With an Airhawk and Cheeky Seat padded cover over that, my seat is pretty plush. It was my upper back and shoulders that were hurting. Need to do a better job of moving and stretching while on the scoot. And losing a bit of weight prior to the event will help.

Someone mentioned about a clavicle support to help with posture and back fatigue. Anyone ever use one of those?

I recall your seat mods. Always thought sitting straight due to the "C" posture helps prevent fatigue but that's a lot of hours to be sitting while in a roll and pitch position.
Think geisha girls walking your back would help.
