Hi everyone, A new post here to remind EVERYONE to write down their key code number. Either in you manual or somewhere safe.

It's the small metal/plastic tag that you get once you have purchased your new Scooter, bike, car etc.

NEVER, leave it on your keys

Sorry if this is obvious, but you would be suprised how many calls a week i get from folks who have thrown it away.

Cheers

For transponder keys Perhaps, depends on make, model, year.

Non Transponder, any good Locksmith should be able to fit a key to any scooter (if the keys are available)

Yes Mate, The code number is a ref for the physical cuts on your key.

That's why this is so Important never too lose it If you have a Suzuki Yamaha etc then they are easy to make keys for. Due in part to there popularity. (Because you can find motorcycle keys every where)

Yes! my PM is working thanks again

I have got a lot of emails regarding the tag. If you don't have the tag. Either photocopy or take a digital pic of your keys. And keep that in a safe place. This works best for non transponder keys. DO IT!

If you have a Transponder key as above then go to your nearest Locksmith who has a Machine and asked if they would read the Electronic code for you. Less than 10 secs, then you have peace of mind.
Write it down and put in somewhere safe also.

Thanks all.

Cheers.
