First the good news: Inspiration point in Tilden Park. Now for the bad news: my scoot stalled on the way home. My guess is something in the electrical system. So I am in for a trip to the shop and no next photo for a while. Would someone like to volunteer to post something in my place? I'd appreciate it.

It's more fun to have a something in play. I'd say don't worry about the Inspiration Point tag and the next picture posted is the next target. Thanks.

The scoot isn't as bad as I feared. If nobody has a picture ready to go, then I will probably be able to produce something by the weekend.

It should be easier to read the sign now. I hope the sunshine holds for the rest of the afternoon.

Got it! All I need is for someone to give me the name and location and I will ferret it out.

Here's a shot from across the street. Take a pleasant ride to search for this tag. You might wonder
if there "ain't no sunshine" on the way here but that is unlikely this weekend. |

I'm afraid I might have led you astray by implying the tag was in Pleasant Hill in the last clue.
It looks that way on the map but it seems that the address is actually in an adjoining town. Sorry. Another picture clue: |

The hints finally did it, but what did "ain't no sunshine" mean? I must have gone a different way.

Here's another. (I don't think that it will be considered trespassing to stop and take a picture.)

Great work, azure! "Ain't no sunshine" is a song by Bill Withers. I took Withers Ave from
Taylor Blvd to Reliez Valley Rd when I found this place. I thought putting it in quotes would encourage someone to search for the phrase, find the song title and notice the artist's name on the map. Maybe I was trying a little too hard to be clever.... |

I should have thought of that, because I know the song. I did search for Sunshine Ave. I also looked up the lyrics for other hints and even watched a YouTube video of a Withers performance.
It was a good hint. Next time, I will try to take that extra step in unraveling the meaning. |

A little more information
Time for a hint? For me, this spot is on the way to Martinez. I have seen it written that the route includes "one of the best rides in the county."

This was one of my 'reserve' tag spots but my hard drive crashed a couple of weeks ago and I lost a lot of pics. You're right about it being one of the best roads to ride. Will try to make it there tomorrow.

Pig farm
Couldn't get closer since the farmer was eyeing me suspiciously and with that subtle trespassing sign, I didn't want to invite trouble. |

Oops Unable to get out recently and I'm having knee surgery tomorrow. Won't be able to ride for a week or so. Can someone take over this tag?

Hey Cipote - thanks for asking. I'm actually doing really well. The doc had a field day in my left knee, repairing a couple of meniscal (?) tears, some other kind of fibrous tissue thingy and some arthritis. I'm back riding, but am having to be really careful about using that knee. Didn't realize how much I used it for balance, especially getting off the scooter and backing uphill into my parking space at work. Maybe that's how it got torn up in the first place.
Anyway, I've been waiting to get north to post the next tag - there are so few of us playing in the East Bay, that I thought I'd take it up north for the Napa-ites. Just haven't had a chance to get there yet. Hopefully this week. |

Actually I'm healing quicker than I thought I would - I'm just taking it easy on the scooter since I don't want to tear it up again with the balance act of getting on and off. Let alone if some kind of emergency forces me to twist the knee.
Prognosis is excellent. Once again, thanks for asking. Makes me want to get out there again with the camera and tag some interesting landmark. |

Hopes for a full recovery
I have been out of town for a few weeks and haven't been checking in. I hope you're up to speed again Cricket. If not, then best wishes for full recovery.
Best regards to all. |

Thanks - I'm actually riding again but my scooter, which just hit the 20K post, is showing some age. It's at Rockridge Two Wheels this weekend getting some r&r (rest and repair) and hopefully it'll be back on it's feet (wheels) again early next week.
Thanks for your concern. I promise I'll post soon. |

Have been AWOL for way too long!
Happy I didn't miss the "north" post as promised by Cricket! Did the long rides at Amerivespa and recognized some of the areas/roads etc mentioned in previous tags here and other tag areas. That's a lot of territory out there! We have some riding and tagging to do! Hope all is well with scoots, knees, etc. Got to meet Mr. Zip at AV! Thanks for saying Hi! |

At last! Sorry about the delay. I had great plans for this pic but after getting almost blown off two bridges and finding I had the wrong lens, I thought I'd post it anyway.
