I have a Gilera Runner as a "back up" scooter. The scooter won't start after the winter. It runs for a second then stops. Leaks gas from the petcock on every kick/electric start. It has been stored with fuel stabilizer and ran when I picked it up from storage. Two weeks later it's as good as dead.

What could be the problem here?

check the lines from the petcock for tiny cracks...also petcocks go on these...maybe yours isnt feeding fuel into the carb....they are fairly simple to replace...but the tank has to be drained...
