Taken from Vespa Club of Canada as follows;
As a member you can attend the Vespa World Club's annual event Vespa World Days under the Vespa Club of Canada banner*. Various cities host this event around the world. It will be our turn to host the world in 2024. However if you go to their events page nothing is listed except in Vancouver, British Columbia. It says their National Rally is to be held, or was held there.🛵 |

I just confirmed with one of the execs in a Vespa Club here in Ontario, and Vespa World 2024 in Canada indeed been moved to Kingston.
FYI -Brockville is a city of 26,000; Kingston is 133,000. |

Sounds great, little more than a 1,200 mile ride from Minnesota. Will have to figure out some plans to attend. Keep posting more information.

I know it's more than 12 months away at this time, but have the exact dates been posted yet?
I'm going to try my best to make this work with other trips that are already in the planning phase for '24 and I can be flexible with those dates right now. |

I am pretty disappointed by this decision. I was hoping to attend an event with more international participants here in North America.
I'd still be interested in heading to Canada for a large rally anyway. |

Well, that's one to many cancelations. I'll stick with Beat the Heat and maybe Amerivespa '24 if it's on the east coast.

I read on Facebook that Amerivespa is not going to have a rally next year because Vespa World days is going to be in Canada. And they are going to have some small regional rallies instead. A lot of mixed messages I guess we will have to wait and find out.

I havent seen anything saying World Day moved to Toronto.
They sent out a press release that literally said nothing. Any posts on the World Vespa page asking questions are removed. They still ask for more money from dues however. What an absolute bodge of an operation. |

Unfortunately, lots of 'politics' involved. The cancellation of the VWD in Canada was (as it leaked) a personal decision of the VCE's president without consulting anyone, which resulted in his 'impeachment' by the board of members and his following resignation, announced in VWD in Interlaken…
New decisions will be made in September or October after a new president is elected… |

Any news on whether there will be a World Day anywhere in 2024?
The VCOA and the VCC websites haven't been updated in sometime and neither has the official Vespa World Club webpage have any information on any upcoming events anywhere. |

Italian press says Montegrotto Terme near Padova for 2024 (as EuroVespa though) and Novi Sad in Serbia for 2025 (originally was for 2024). Vespa Club Europa will announce it officially after their elections…

The Kingston scooter rally was resurrected after the Vespa orgnization screwed Canada and pulled it without explanation.
Manuel Mathieu has a link at https://facebook.com/events/s/kingston-isle-of-wolfe-scooter/241041185597407/ Manny ran great rallies at Kingston before and stepped up when the official Vespa group screwed us. Now I see the Canadian Vespa organization has stated THEY are running a rally in Toronto 3 weeks before Manny's. Why didn't they offer to assist in a rally that has been run before, and has a proven track record as the most successful multi day rally in Ontario, (and probably Canada).? |

Yes. The Vespa Canada Group have now decided their event won't be in Toronto but will be in Kingston, the same location as Manny's, but 3 weeks earlier than his.
If you need to decide which rally to attend as you can attend only one, I HIGHLY suggest you talk to someone who attended the previous rallies run my both Manny, and Canada Vespa ; and get their opinion on how well the events were organized and the runs were done. FYI: You need to pay yearly dues to Vespa Club in order to be able to attend their event, and that event allows only Vespas. |

Is the yearly dues to Vespa Club Canada? Or if you are a Vespa Club Of America member does that suffice?

As long as you pay dues to a Vespa sanctioned club I believe you get to go .
I personally didn't find I received any benefit for my yearly dues money. |

Update from the recent November SIP newsletter about the cancellation of the Canada World Days event
"Vespa World Days 2024 in Pontedera Created by Dietrich Limper at 08:10 on October 24, 2023 Actually, it seemed set in stone that "The Vespa Club of Canada" would host the Vespa World Days 2024. In the public discussions, the best location was already being discussed. Sometimes it was Kingston, then Montreal again - it remained exciting. Until the bombshell burst on 17 June 2023, at the meeting of the Vespa World Club (VWC) during the Vespa World Days 2023 in Interlaken, Switzerland. VWC president Calestrini resigned (or was resigned) but remains on the board, which is dominated by Piaggio. Canadian President Jeff Schneider withdrew Canada as a venue. It was said that he no longer had confidence in the promises made by Piaggio or the VWC. By all accounts, all this did not go harmoniously and dampened the mood during the celebrations at the Swiss." So did the VWC president cancel us like was reported previously or did the Canada Vespa president cancel us? Can we get a straight answer? |

I said it before, too much politics. The decision was solely made by the former VWC president, that's why he was forced to later resign…

Canada Vespa Days is ON! Registrations are closed but there were still a few openings left last time I heard. It will indeed be held in Kingston Ontario, June 21 to 23. We have 2 riders from Germany, one from Peru, one from Italy and I've heard eleven from the US but there could be more. From Canada, we have members from coast to coast that will participate.
This is the first ever major Canada reunion of Vespa enthusiasts, it will be awesome. Vespa World Days in Canada were canceled for no reason. President of the Vespa World Club had to resign or face a vote of non confidence because of it. President of the Vespa Club Canada was offered the event again but since everything had been canceled he, understandably, chose to refuse it. It will be held in Italy instead.

I was hoping to make it, but my family has made other vacation plans.
On the plus side, I'll be on the Amalfi Coast at that time; I'll be renting a scooter while I'm there. Good luck to everyone at the Canadian event! |

If anyone cant make the Vespa Canada event, or if they are full, and you still need to get your rally on, the Wolf Island Rally event is the next week after in Kingston. It is nit brand centric .
