Lostboater invited me on another ride a couple of weeks ago.

It was based around Larry's Place in Newberry (an Alabama dream home and a travel trailer so we can stay in different structures)

It started by meeting up at the Williston Airport again, as there is a small restaurant that has outdoor seating.

Walt came along as a pleasant surprise, riding up with Ken from St. Petersburg, but he only rode a few miles with us to Bo Didley's grave, then he had other places to see.

Ken and I rode around to see another courthouse, then to Steinhatchee for Oyster Stew followed by a ride to Larry's.

We rose early and headed south to Ocala, then Palatka and Green Cove Springs to knock off some more courthouses. We have now seen 49 of the 67 in the state, meaning we have seen most of Florida in the last year.

Back to Newberry for take out burgers, then just hanging out for the afternoon before Chinese take out for dinner. I considered riding home after dinner as weather was fast approaching, but decided to stay for the night.

It was raining as I awakened and the rain continued with the weather reporters saying it would be raining all day.

But when it stopped at around 9:30, I took a chance and made it all the way to Jacksonville with only a few small drops along the way.

Leaving the Williston Airport with Ken and Walt.

The three scooters lined up at Bo Didley's gravesite.

And that grave. We were there on the anniversary of his death.

Heading to Ocala on a dirt road for part of the ride.

Putnam County Courthouse in Palatka. We don't go in them anymore as the virus makes access difficult.

Looks and reads like an excellent diversion from everyday life Bill. I wonder when for either of us this kind of thing turns into normal life??

Thank you Steve,

I find a way to divert whenever I can.

Unfortunately it isn't every time I would like as I am working today instead of taking a kayak trip that would be so much more fun.

The pandemic has made every residential architect in town very busy.

I believe normal is going to be a fleeting dream for a while.

Everyone has to adapt to whatever this world offers.

Bo Diddley, Bo Diddley where you gona? Hey Bo Diddley!
Bill,

I always appreciate your ride photos.

When I was in high school, I played in a "Garage Band" that
played the local High School Sock Hop Dances.

We rocked out to several of Bo Diddley's songs. Thanks
for the memories sparked by your graveside photo.

Our band was called "The Bunch" aka " Joe Banana and the Bunch".

Thank you for that, Bob.

It looks like you could have been a rock star.

Who would have ever guessed.

It is always a pleasure when Bill and I get together to do these rides. He says he is not retired but I have never heard him say no unless his kids are in town.

Here is my side of the story......
