Hi all,

I'm the proud owner of a 2012 MP3 500 Business.
I've done about 1250 km and I noticed that on the longer rides (1 hour +) the seat gets really uncomfortable for me.
I'm 1.86 m (or 6 ft 1 in) and sit to much at the front of the seat, I can't seem to sit more to the back. Furthermore, I keep 'sliding' to the front of the seat, which is really annoying.

The solution is obvious: I need to get a different seat.
Only thing is... which one?
I read good things about the Shad Piaggio MP3 seat, but other than that I don't know of any other options.

Has anyone have the same experience as me?
Any tips are appreciated!
Thanks!

So i see that piaggio are still making the same carp seat ,my 2008 fuoco was just as bad so i modifed it myself cutting alot of foam from the original and cutting the base and modifing that as well so i could sit lower. and just as importantly alot further back so you have a better riding position.

Well, that does sound good, but I'm lucky to be able to cut a sandwich in half.. so cutting into my seat is probably not that great of an idea..

I modified my gel saddle myself then took it to a motorcycle seat specialist last year who charged me £120 to cover it and that included art work, i was well pleased.

Does the upgrade gel seat have more room for the rider/driver than the standard model? I would like to move back a few inches.

I'm 1.90 and have long legs and fat arse. The latter harms my ability to sit further from the handlebar. So my solution was really simple.

I've bought an used seat and slightly broke its base where the step between rider and passenger's areas is. So now I can sit much further and my tailbone (another my problem) hides in that "pit". I can't show much about that, because the seat does not look much different, but it is pretty more comfortable now.

Yea that support seems to be the culprit- Piaggio didn't put a lot thought into it.
