I have a 2015 Vespa Primavera and it is making a jingling sound when coasting along such as coming to a traffic light (ie. when the throttle is off but it doesn't make the sound when the throttle is on). It sounds a bit like metal rings jingling together as if something is loose and it continues until the scooter comes to a stop. I have just had the drive belt, rollers and slides replaced as I thought that might be the problem but unfortunately, the sound is still there. Any suggestions on what it might be??
I thought I heard a jingling or rattling noise on my Primavera. It sounded like it was coming from the front. The culprit may have been the suspension arm cover; it's just kind of clipped on, and mine seemed a bit loose. I tried to carefully bend the clips so that it was a bit more snug.
Around the same time, I noticed that the screw connecting the left and right halves of my crash bars was missing, and so they were getting jostled around as I rode. I replaced the screw (with the help of this forum!).
After making both of those adjustments, I'm no longer hearing the rattle, so I'm assuming that one of those things was responsible. Maybe check your suspension arm cover and crash bars (if you have them)?
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't have crash bars on the bike and have checked the suspension arm and it's not that. I have uploaded a video to YouTube which records the sound. You can hear it particularly well between 13 to 16 seconds on the video:
