My speedo just shit the bed and I'll get it fixed after the winter when I get a new cylinder kit put it.

For now I wanna just use my phone for gps and speedo

Any recommendations on what brand/model phone mount works best for Vespa px style. Old style p series where the mirrors are attached underneath the handlebars. Not like the 2005 px version

I cobbled mine together from a combination of RAM and Quad Lock mounts as Quad lock do really good waterproof phone cases. I use their 1" ball adpater which allows me to use an arm from RAM.

https://www.quadlockcase.co.uk/collections/iphone-6-6s/products/1-ball-mount-motorcycle-kit-iphone?&device=iPhone%206/6s

https://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/product/ram-mount-double-socket-arm-medium-for-1-ball?gclid=Cj0KCQjwufn8BRCwARIsAKzP694qAcq3n6RUW7V8TpgGesfiENy2STZBGzBz11-vyzofiMiz9zIvcCIaAoNfEALw_wcB

I then flipped round a Vespa mirror mount so that it protrudes out of the back of the handlebars and attached one of these to it:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ram-Mount-RAM-B-349U-1-Ball-Adapter-M10-X-1-25-Threaded-Post-14-5mm-Flange/333251562286?epid=2254313849&hash=item4d97574b2e:g:GiUAAOSwoV5dF1iI

It's really minimal when the phone isn't attached, is adjustable and mega secure.

I used the stock mirror bracket and attached a ball mount to it. Then with extensions more ball mounts got it to match with my Rokform phone case twist lock.

jackytwoshoes -- that setup you describe sounds pretty much identical to what I had in mind. Would you happen to have any photos of what you've assembled?

Sure, I won't be with my scoot for a couple of days but I'll grab some asap.

The only motorcyclists or scooterists who should even possibly be using mobile phones mounted to their bikes are delivery people. People who deliver pizzas and shit like that.

nomadinsiam Don't forget the kooks among us who use these Italian shopping bikes for long-distance touring. GPS navigation is so unbelievably handy in places with unreliable or nonexistent road signs.

I'll take it. I've just seen so many idiotic traffic maneuvers and accidents from phone users here that I'm anti. Maybe in the civilized world it works. 🥳
