Modern Vespa

Hi everyone. So after i got my vintage vespa many years ago, i installed a type of air deflector (located at bottom, front-side of legshield). I don't know if this is a vespa part, but it does fit well on the bike. It's supposedly help to keep the front of the bike down (forcing air flow down). I don't remember how it rode without it. Should i keep it on? In theory, does it help to keep it planted?

T5's have one as standard, if it looks ok and you like it leave it on, it may make a difference over about 100mph 😁 but probably more use for keeping mud away..

Christopher, this what i was talking about. It goes at bottom of legshield.
For those of you that have it installed, does it help? Does it make a difference?

No and no.

The T5 already have holes in the lower legshield and floor boards so that the spoiler can be attached with sheet metal screws. It takes a bunch more work to install it cleanly on a P/PX because of the floor rails are in the way. I currently have one on my PX200.

Ok, I'm going to look into a something like this. Looking to reduce the beating the underside is taking from rocks.

Consider spraying the bottom of the scooter with truck-bed liner. Invisible unless the scooter is on its side.

or fit a front mudflap
