I don't always like thinking about those days, but there were a few I have fond memories of, like enjoying the love of the company dog on a quiet day. I'm happy to have served and even happier I survived.

Remembrance Day is a UK holiday to honor soldiers who died during war. That's similar to Memorial Day in the US, which is observed the last Monday of May. November 11, is Veterans day in the US, which honors all those who served in "war" while in the armed forces.

I am amazed when I see all your flags waving and showing attachment to the homeland, it is commendable!
I am honored to have met you, even if only through a forum.
Here in Italy there has never been much patriotic sentiment in recent years .... a pity.

Italian Flags Waving in 2006
Attila,

I believe you won the World Cup in 2006. I was there in August 2006 and
there were Italian Flags flying from every balcony in the country.

I sent out a post to my scooter Group (Minn-Maxi Scooters of Minnesota)
yesterday thanking all the veterans.
