Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), will join the MIC Symposium Series, this Thursday at 10am Pacific (1pm Eastern). Senator Ernst, co-chair of the Senate Motorcycle Caucus, will join Scott Schloegel, senior vice president of government relations for the MIC, for a discussion on the opportunities and issues facing the Senate Motorcycle Caucus. Scott will also provide an overview of the election results and provide his take on the impact the election will have on the policy issues facing the powersports industry including transportation reauthorization, public lands access, and trade policy including tariffs.

Senator Ernst created the Senate Motorcycle Caucus with co-chair, Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) in 2017.

Are the Senator and her Co-chair daily riders? If not total waste of time. About 15 years ago I spent time observing MIC and MSF offices (5 days) to see if any body there was actually riding----ha ha---saw one bike being ridden/lots of van action coming and going in the parking lot....and the day it rained=no bike. AND these people claim to speak for you and me?

I just called the Senator's office to see if she rode her bike today---NO---did get out of them that she has ride thru Iowa each year....and that is probably her riding for the year! I rode with WI Gov Tommy Thompson ride thru WI on year---joke---police blocked off all redlights and stop signs---so ride would be easier I guess----I used Helix for that ride...easy to keep up with the Harley noise makers.

Yeah, I remember Tommy riding! No idea how much he rode....seems to me some of these politicians pretty much show they know how not to fall off and get a photo op with an American brand and they're done. But that's just the cynic in me....
