Has anybody used any of the lens smoking sprays before like this stuff

My questions are:

1. Can it be used to put a dark tint to chrome badges
2. Is is illegal in UK or practical to smoke headlight lenses. I have bought smoked sip indicators and taillight sets but thought a little smoke on the headlight might help on the smoke theme. The headlight gets pretty hot so not sure if a spray paint would stay on.
