Happy New Year gang!

http://www.scootermercato.com/Scooter-Parts/Flywheels/BGM-IGN-KIT-VLB[/url]

My buddy's points/ stator are done and rather than swap, he wants to throw money at it. The next options I found were the Pinasco Flytech or Vape.
Anyone know of a cheaper priced kit thats not from India/cant find parts for? Or does anyone know of a supplier with one of these BGM kits? Hell, anyone got one on the back shelf they'd sell?

I notice that VMC are doing ignitions now, but I'm not sure if it's only for smallframes...

You could get the Vape for the same price as the BGM.

I was looking at one of those kits, when I thought I may have needed a new stator for a conversion. If you break down the parts included in the kit the price isn't out of line. A stator is $100.00 , flywheel another $100.00, Voltage regulator $35.00, coil $35.00. You're basically replacing the entire ignition, charging system, cooling fan and getting a variable ignition for free. Just another way of looking at the costs anyway.

Hey MJ, this is the one I installed on the 62 allstate. It was an easy conversion and I'm super happy I did it. Lights work consistently, and all is functioning the way it's supposed to.

Awesome. Thanks guys. I totally missed that. I was so fixated on the BGM kit, or the Vape from my local supplier starting at $370!

I'll show the owner and see if he'll bite.
