I recently got a lead on a low mileage 2012 Piaggio Fly 50 4T4V with no title. I was thinking about buying it and swapping the motor and drivetrain into my wife's 2006 LX50 4T2V. I know I would have to include the module and harness. I know all the Malossi parts in the drivetrain I installed in the LX50 will transfer to the fly drivetrain but will there be any issues with gauges or lights? I know the Piaggio line and Vespa line share the same drivetrain but I'm not sure about the electronics.
It would need the wiring harness because they are very different beasts. The 4v is a much smatter engine. The 4v engine also has the heat sensor and a sensor that gets a hose off the carb, don't forget those.
I figured I would have to use the wiring harness. Wanted to see if anyone has swapped out a 4t2v for a 4t4v. I'm just concerned if I will have any issues with the connection of lights, switches etc. and if it would be worth it as it's going to require me completely disassembling the LX
