I got a young man to work on The Little Green Monster and try to replace the crankshaft (now confirmed worn out).

I bought a 28mm 1.0 that said it would fit but when he tried to use it the tool was too high a diameter. I think it might need a 26mm but would like confirmation. Anyone with experience tearing down an old 06 200granturismo know for certain the flywheel puller I should use?

This is what I bought:

Seems strange, given the Scooterwest website clearly indicates that tool will fit the GT200. Is it possible they sent you the wrong one?

I haven't needed the tool yet, so I haven't bought one. But I have in my notes (from here) that it's a 28mm x 1mm right-hand thread.

SIP also says their 28x1 tools fits the Piaggio Leader 200cc engine:

Its stamped 28mmx1.0. Rather than buy what appears to be the same tool from a different manufacturer, I paid more and will get a set Thursday.

Will update with what fit...and if its the 28mmx1.0 and there appears to be an obvious difference then I'll be talking to Scooterwest about it. Would hate they get in some funk on account of a manufacturing mistake
