Hi On my Rally I know there is a old outer cable end stuck frozen in the frame choke cable tube. I cant get it out no matter what I've tried. So now my outer choke cable keeps popping out of the tube. any suggestions on how to keep it in?
I have to hold the choke pull out, while kicking it.
Thanks

Take a hex key from outside the chassis and use a few bumps from a hammer on the key to push the cap out. You may want to add some heat to the tube in the area where that cap sits.

I think I saw somewhere that you can also take the cap off your new outer and use the one stuck in the tunnel. Can't remember where I saw that.

I did this on my vnb. I had to whittle a bit of the new outer cable with an exacto knife, but it worked well.

when I replaced the choke cable on my GS I found that the housing end ferrule at the frame side was 5mm OD, while most replacement cables are 6mm. I ended up making a new ferrule in the right size, but leaving it off would probably have worked just fine.

Why is that? Why can't any manufacture get this right?
