Hello MV Forum wizards. I'm hoping this is a minor issue:
My 2015 GTS300 is stalling, but only when throttling hard from a complete stop. If I go easy on the throttle at stop, there are really no issues. Also, once it's made its initial start, it runs well at all speeds up to it's top speed and idles fine once it stops (but then stalls if I give it heavy throttle from the stop). If I'm on the bike, the issue seems only to be on hard acceleration from zero mph. If I put the bike on the center stand, I can get it to stall similarly, but don't need to throttle it quite as hard.
Any thoughts? I read on the forum it could be related to an old battery?? I am still using the original battery from 2015, so perhaps that could be the issue? Other thoughts?
I have included youtube video links below. Please copy the links without the CAPS- and re-paste the non-cap links in a browser, as I think we are prohibited from linking directly to youtube in postings.

As always, thanks MV Forum members. I'd be SOL without this group.

I think you may need to recalibrate your ASR. I've seen this exact thing before and it was indeed the ASR out of calibration or something on the ABS tone wheel causing a mis-read (it could also be just a tyre down somewhat without you realising). So check for foreign debris on the abs tone wheel or sensors and if that looks good recalibrate. I suspect it's one of those things. Also you do know that on the centre stand you must switch off the ASR before you can rev the engine. Their is a possibility the engine will stall if your don't do that. Although in practice it shouldn't stall unless the ASR is really out of wack. Of course, it may be something else, but try those things first. Good luck Schuman.

Actually stalling as in having to restart the motor or just bogging down for a moment? If just bogging down it's certainly the ASR doing its job.
My GTS is almost unrideable going up a modest grassy hill with the ASR on. The power continually goes on and off as the ASR detects speed differences between the front and rear wheel.

Yes, stalling as in having to restart the motor; it has also been "bogging down" a little bit on easy acceleration from dead stops lately, too.
This morning I cleaned off the ASR tone wheels and tried to re-calibrate the ASR. I was unsuccessful in doing the re-calibration, but that's usually my experience. I've recalibrated the ASR, successfully, at least a dozen times, but it always takes me 47 attempts. In any event, I drove around with the ASR off for a while, and I could not duplicate the stalling issue either on the bike or on the center stand... So I'm hoping it's related to something so simple. I'll get the ASR recalibrated eventually - it's just relatively cold and windy here (20 degrees Fahrenheit with 15 mph winds), so I needed a break.

Good to hear it was something so easy to fix.
