Hi I checked the search and did not really see anything to bass a plan off of. I just picked up a 65 VBB That desperately needs new tires and tubes and Wheel Refinishing. I know how to break down small frame wheels but for my bike do I unbolt before wheel bolts on the front? How about the rear? Can any one step me through it? Thanks again

Undo the 4 big bolts that will remove the hub cover.

Take the tires and rims off the bike

Then Undo the rim/wheel nuts
Deflate the tubes a bit
Then break the bead on the rims
Separate the rims

When u go to put the new tubes in put just a touch of air in them... not too much just enough so they have a little form otherwise they'll get pinched when you tighten the screws on the rims.

I coat my tubes with baby powder too. Helps them slid in nicely. Soap and water around the tire beads as well will help them slide on a bit easier too.
