My best friend Anna is in the hospital, trying to comfort her in this difficult time, I would ask all of you to offer her a wish for recovery. She knows you from the descriptions I make and she thinks of you on your scooters as you travel the long american roads. Then I will send her the link to her.

Sweet Anna, praying for your health and healing and that you may have peace. I am new to the 'boys' vespa forum and not well known yet on the site, but I have ridden a motorcycle over a lot of the midwest and western parts of the US, mostly with lots of other women! We knew how to have fun, see the beautiful colors and wide open skies out west, the mountains in Colorado, animals in Yellowstone Nat'l Park. God's earth is a beautiful creation. Try to have good nutrition to help your body heal. Get rest and fresh air when you can. Blessings. Priscilla

Stin Y'iasou, Anna! From the Pacific Northwest of the USA right now. Then hopefully from much closer in Pireaus Greece, just south of Athens in a couple of months after I get my shots starting at end of this month. And if they let me in. And if there are flights... I have family there!!!

I know Atilla thinks highly of you, pretty sure that he has mentioned you before. But he talks a LOT, so I may be confused... When this virus is knocked out I'd love to jump on a ferry to Bari or Ancona from Patra on my best running Vespa, and see this Atilla fellow for myself, and maybe you too if it's convenient? Buy you a nice gelato if you know a good place? So we're all pulling for you to recover soon and get back to normal. La Dolce Vita in Italy, did I get that right?

You must not have heard, but hospitals are NOT the cool hang out anymore. Get better so you can see what all the fuss is about being home! I mean, you live in Italy of all places; when I went to visit, I didn't have any interest in seeing the hospitals; I was too busy admiring the streets of Florence, Venice, Rome, and Tarquinia. Get outta there and quick!!

You will be pleased to know that unorthodox therapy and the use of massive doses of antibiotics are slowly yielding positive results.
What happened? Following an accident at work and a slow intervention due to overloaded hospitals for covid, his leg became infected and he went into severe septicemia ...
The solution was to open the wound and, without anesthesia, clean it from the inside up to the femur ... and every day open and clean it with gauze and disinfectant. Imagine the excruciating pain ... and it has been going on for a week.

Hospitals are not good places to be in. Anna you're lucky to have such a good friend. I hope you have a speedy recovery and no know that you are not alone.

Max ... Imagine that the hospital is so full that the four-patient rooms contain up to ten patients ... There is no space, my government ten years ago, for a policy of containing health costs, abolished small and medium-sized hospitals.
Now we are paying the price ...

Update: Anna left the hospital because she is no longer in an emergency, the drains in her leg worked.
The uterus surgery remains but it seems that with a little chemo or radiotherapy it can be resolved.

Very good news Attila. Thank you for keeping us updated on her progress.
