So basically its the ADV 150 with a Honda bbk kit installed. Will they use the rear disc brake with the 160cc motor?

Wife and I liked the PCX overall. Was a bit bland to look at but was comfy for 2 adults to bump around town on. But then we saw the Liberty and that's what we purchased. We also like the ADV 150 but not enough to replace the Liberty with one. Flat floor is mandatory for us. But Honda is on the right track. Always liked their products as well.

You guys would know? Don't some states mandate over 150cc for expressways?
Ergo 160 or 155+ If you want a "rebore then PCX can be hogged out to 170 or 175cc. |

In Italy it takes from 150 + 1 cc up to go on the motorway and rings (minimum 4 lanes) around the big cities.
For years there have been court cases with owners of old Vespas because the actual cylinder capacity was 145 cc even though they were sold with the inscription 150. The need of the manufacturers to raise the displacement to a minimum of 155 cc is partly due to the changed legislative conditions but also to the increase in anti-pollution restrictions which also force an increase in power; the increase generally does not exceed 1 or 2 hp but ... Always keep it in front of your eyes, the declared power is always at the crankshaft. The actual power to the rear wheel (the one you put on the ground) is about one third less; hypothesis, you can have 20 hp at the crankshaft but 15 hp unloaded on the ground. The manufacturer will sacrifice the additional power received from the increase in displacement (paradoxically) to comply with the anti-pollution regulations and you will always have the same power at the wheel. |

How do you ride a bike when the handlebars hit your knees? Here I was ready to buy an Smax and then I sat on one. It felt like a toy compared to my SH. It's starting to look like the bike that will reside in my van during my retirement will be the ADV 150, even though it has 3 things I don't like. 1)smart key. 2)start-stop tech. 3)rear drum brake. I haven't sat on an ADV 150 yet, but the reviews say that the longer suspension makes it more comfortable. Maybe I'll sit on one this weekend. |

I hate rear drums because the cable tension is a pita when stopped. |

Or is that tech only on the ADV 150 scooters in other countries? |

I don't see that tech listed as a feature on the USA Honda ADV 150 website specs.
Can anyone in the USA confirm ? |

The odds are that if Honda is making one version for the entire known world, it will have stop start, but if they are making one with and one without, we will get the one without. The first time I rented a car with it, it was a bit unnerving. But like everything else, you get used to it. |

The S & S button in my car is missing, there is a cap in its place ... I didn't want it. It was a paid accessory (250 EUR).
Why was there? Because the S&S can be switched on / off in many cases but many people deactivate it because it is ... unnerving. On a scooter it kills the battery faster ... |
