Speedy good 82 on Dyno (with 10 Slow Horses still tootling along as reserves)... but wind resistance won't allow it in reality

I already have a 210 on 8"s. It's the most minimal tune possible (top end swap+SR3), but it does low 70's and the stock P200 gearing mostly just makes it feel like a really torque-y 177.

A clubmate just replace his 210 with one of the new VMC 213's on his. No word back on what he thinks of it yet, though.

Ginchi is convincing me to change Speedy's motor for a 200... so far I've got cases & reluctance, as prefer 8's.

However, I have realised after numerous "mishaps" that i am unable to turn RIGHT & use foot-brake at same time as lanky legs means knee hits handlebars and then it cannot turn!
Still working out how to resolve that issue.

I'm really reluctant to go too far down this path, because while I'm pretty underwhelmed with the current setup, the next logical step for me would be a VMC244 and I'm not sure 30+HP and 8"s is the best idea I (or anyone else) has ever had.

Swap the clutch to the foot pedal and move the rear brake to the clutch lever instead!

I had that idea awhile ago, but not sure if the pedal would pull enough to work the clutch or not,

So now he can't *shift* and turn right at the same time! What could possibly go wrong?

Easy solution! Make 3 left turns to turn right

Raise your cylinder .25mm and that should give you the RPM's to get there. You don't have to run all day at those speeds, just gotta cross the line long enough for the GPS to agree.

And/or …warm up bike with a few miles, then drop the main jet down a few points for a quick/short 60mph speed run.

Easy peasy.

Yip, i rode to work a few times over past few weeks with an app running, but it hadn't worked, so i tonight I tried again on the way home & FINALLY IT WORKED...

There was a lot of wind on the way home & Speedy seems to be running rather slow, but, hey... no excuses aye?

Here's the results:

The average is a bit low, as I ran out of fuel , luckily opposite a petrol station.

God... speed.... that will come when i change exhaust, the SIP Road 2 (i think that's what it is) is rather restrictive!

God, Speedy desires a Polini & possibly a tweak to the timing.

So, I changed to a NOS Polini exhaust & the top speed results are much the same.

I maintained 62-66mph for about 15min of the run!
Oddly the fastest was while on slight UPHILL sections! On the slight downhill bits it almost seemed to be running out of fuel!

Disclaimers:
I had a 20kg backpack, so was far heavier and bulkier.
The acceleration is far better, as is the note of pipe.

Average speed was: 77.8km/h or 48.9mph (over 45min)
Average speed was over 45min, as app stops after 45min.
Average speed would have been higher, but I started app while in a 80km zone, rather than only in the 100km zone, plus traffic & roundabouts etc

I added one of oopsclunkthud intakes to the lump.
After spending about 45 minutes messing with jets I decided to rip up HWY 1 for a little speed run.

I just hit 70mph wide open into a little headwind.
I'm sure there is a little more in in once I dial in the jetting a little bit more.
