I just recently bought a 2008 MP3 500 and was reading some of the forums and they talk about greasing the steering tubes. I not sure where you do that. I know you need to buy some grease bolts. Does anyone have a picture of where these bolts go. Thanks

The attached document explains the procedure in detail. Besides the bolt, you will also need a automotive grease gun, and a cartridge with bearing grease.

You really only need to buy one of the grease bolts.

Remove the original bolt, put in the special fitting, pump in the grease, then put the original bolt back in place.

Thank you
Thanks for clearing this up for me. I wanted to get this done before riding season comes around.

You will also want to be sure the bearings are properly adjusted.
If I recall correctly you basically loosen the top lock nut, then loosen the adjuster, tighten it against the bearing, back off 120 degrees, then tighten the lock nut against it.
The point is, the bearing should be slightly loose. Tiny bit, not wiggly.
Tight bearings will notch within several thousand miles.
Mine has ~47,000 miles on it with no notch.

Thanks for the tip on adjusting the bearings. I'll look for the video on You Tube.
