Made it home. 1100 miles and rain gear on for 2 of 4 days. Found some major and minor issues with the maps used as a guide. Made adjustments and will update the gpx files. Should be able to post them in a day or two.

Park restaurant not open Thursday and limited pickings within easy reach of park. I recommend bringing Thursday dinner with you or eat before you get there. It will be open Friday through Sunday. Had breakfast there before I left this morning. They were not fast so if wanting to eat breakfast then be there when they open at 8:00 in morning to be on time for rides starting at 9:00

Top off with gas before getting to park. First gas stop on rides around 50 miles from park.

Rooms have a fridge and coffee pot but no microwave. Nearest barbecue a few minutes walk from lodge.

Store at main lodge has some snack food and drinks. Candy bars, chips, crackers and such, nothing healthy. Nearest alternative nearly 10 miles of twisties away.

Over the weekend, my wife decided that we would go to Chicago to visit our son and daughter-in-law for her birthday in early June.

I can't do both, so hopefully I will see you guys in the fall or next spring.

We will miss having you along. Enjoy the birthday up north.

Seeing as how there is limited local options for Thursday evening dining, The Lovely Wife (tm), Nor, and I, volunteer to provide a likely over- adequate amount of pulled pork as a main course. If there is interest, let's coordinate side dishes (Coleslaw, Macsalad), Buns, Chips, etc.

To be served at our woodland cottage at the park. BYOB... And, of course, everyone is welcome.

Barbecue sounds great to me. Can hit a grocery store on way in for sides.

One watch out on BYOB. Your cabin is 1.5 miles from lodge so unless walking back or staying the night, no one needs to get carried away at diner.

I'll see what I can do for Google. I think I have a way to get there from base camp.

It won't be BBQ, but it will be pulled pork. I imagine at least one person will be able to shuttle if needed. Alcohol is prohibited at the park, so....

After someone got after me for assuming pulled pork was bbq I figured I was lacking something in my education.

So apparently putting bbq sauce on pulled pork making it taste close to bbq does not allow calling it bbq. Am i on the right track?
