Mike and I made it 340 miles back to my place. Mike found a route that paralleled the arrow straight 63. It is called two headed dragon and was a great run with two mountain climbs. Added bonus of bypassing a straight road with construction the whole way.

After 13 years group is getting older as only two of us did it without a trailer. Mike did ride as much as I did as he only trailered to my house.

See everyone Sep. 30 to Oct. 3 in Vogel State Park in north GA.

Great time gang. Great rides. Good bbq? Great friends.

And, nice of Pnydriver and better half for honoring our 3-wheel tradition!

We stopped at the Back of the Dragon store to update some of our older shirts from when we visited during a previous Gathering at Hungry Mother. The new store is really nice.

We had a great time with superb rides and fellowship. The roads were some of the best we have seen on a Gathering, so kudos to Fuzzy for scouting and leading, once again!

It was great to see everyone, and Kevin and I are truly thankful and blessed. See you in the Fall!

It appears Vogel is booked for the aforementioned weekend. Checked some of the other parks in the immediate vicinity to no avail. It's like people want to get out of the house or something.

I will give them a call tomorrow and see if I'm missing something. Will let you guys know.

It was the first Gathering I attended and rode up from FLL on my MP3 with no GPS, only written directions and OaD giving me turn by turn via cellphone. I believe Doug had named it the Lemonade Run.

I believe one of the rides swung down to a mountain in Alabama to an old CCC camp.

Ponydrvr was demoing his MP3 air box modification.

Tim's Ford is several hours closer for me, so that would be my preference. But I can live with any of those 3 suggested. I guess it'll really just depend on availability for the other options, too...

Any updates on the Fall Gathering?

Perhaps planning will start after the 2021 Scooter Cannonball Run.

I am working on blocking rooms at maggie valley at the creekside lodge. waiting on a call back on availability.

Dates : 30 sept -3 oct

no route rides formally planned. no formal kick stand up start time. there will be an ice cream stop sometime somewhere.

rooms are blocked for Creekside lodge maggie valley (828) 926-1301 call to make your own reservations.

Rooms are blocked under MP3 gathering

6 rooms blocked : 4 upstairs and 2 downstairs all creekside views.
Rates are $119 a night

I blocked all rooms for 2 queen beds but she has kings available as well

She has non creekside available as well for $109.

room hold is only good for 2 weeks as they are very busy during that time.
