UPDATE: fished it out with a magnet tied to a string with a loop on the other end to go around my finger! That bit was not visible at all and it took some jiggling.
Good points/hints... Relative ease is well, relative, and somewhat tool-dependent, too. I have a dedicated T30 driver, so I'm not losing T30 bits down into the engine compartment anymore. But I've been there before, plenty of times, and it sucks.
