We've all been there.
Perfectly nice Saturday - ready to work on your scoot - and some critical part is missing or damaged.
Off to the hardware store to see what compromise you will be forced into if you want to proceed.

Recently sourced a part that was such a nice upgrade - thought I would post.
I'm sure I was the last to discover this - but it didn't diminish the pleasure.
In my case - I needed a carb stud - hated to use the old worn and gnarled ones I had.

Has a little raised area that centers what ever you put over it - and a star head that lets you drive it in. Threads cut so nicely. $1.45 US ea. I bought a half dozen on the spot!

Thats a cool find! Looks nice n strong thats for sure; and the centering boss is a nice feature.

So excited - that I actually found a means to source an upgrade rather than compromise - that I had to post.

The boss is great.
The star at the top allowing you to put it in with a socket (to a set torque should you choose) and not have to fiddle with wrenches in a tight spot - might even be better.
